Salt & Pepper Squid


Since Pubbelly Sushi in South Beach left such a lasting impression on me I decided I had to go back and try their first restaurant which is just called Pubbelly.  Same concept of tapa style dishes but with more of a European fusion of food.  This dish is the salt & pepper squid which is full of crunch and flavor.  Squid imported from Thailand breaded with smoked soy, serrano, schichimi and crispy galic and fried then topped with jalapeno slices and what it seemed liked some type of fish flakes.  I couldn't figure out the dipping sauce but it was definitely soy sauce based. A must try if you are ever in the area or even worth the drive if you are not.
