Homemade Raw Organic Spinach Walnut Pesto

Raw food is the best way to get all the nutrients and minerals that your body needs to stay young, healthy and happy.  Whether through a juicer, blender or in original form nothing beats how beneficial eating raw fruits and vegetables can be.  Spinach is loaded with antioxidants, phytonutrients, dietary fiber, iron, anti-flammatory properties, and the list goes on.

Recipe:

Organic Spinach
Walnuts
Flaxseeds
Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Balsamic Vinegar
Garlic Powder
Onion Powder
Cayenne Pepper
Pepper

All you need to do is put all the ingredients into a blender and mix until you have the right consistency.  The walnuts add a nice taste to it rather than pine nuts that most people put into their pesto.  Or you can even use almonds or any other nut you are willing to experiment with.

You can serve this as a dip with sliced raw zucchini, celery, carrots or any other vegetable.  Also add this to whole wheat pasta with sundried tomatoes or vine-ripe tomatoes for a delicious and healthy meal. OR take a large organic carrot and with a peeler make raw carrot noodles and add the raw spinach walnut pesto and sundried tomatoes for one of the best easy raw meals you can make in minutes.
