Calamari Coconut Grove

On the main highway in Coconut Grove where the hundred year old trees create a canopy over the two way road lies this restaurant, Calamari.  They have a rather large outside seating area and the inside is complimented nicely with a full liquor bar.  To start off the night I ordered this delicious Tuna Tartare which is sushi grade tuna topped off with avocado, creme fresh and red and black fish caviar.  Garnished with thinly sliced cucumbers, chive oil and  truffle oil.  This stuff was REALLY good!

As if one seafood item is never enough, I felt it only right to sample all the other seafood options that Calamari had.  So I ordered the Linguini Frutti de Mare which came with clams, mussels, scallops, shrimp and mixed fish in a garlic white clam sauce.  But instead of the mixed fish I had calamari added and then finished with a generous sprinkle of Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese.  I will most definitely be returning to try the rest of their extensive seafood menu.
